"Barebone" architecture
Every historical city has it's share of landmark buildings and then it's "common" or "basic" architecture which makes up the most part of the city centre quarters. Lāčplēša and Čaka streets' corner could be regarded as example of such "barebone" architecture in Riga. It's not too pretentious, not too ornate and decorated, also not extraordinary - but still elegant.
