Yesterday attended a seminar for journalists, organized by Stradiņa University, one of several universities which offers communication science studies in Latvia. The event was organized in the context of recent scandal in Latvia about threats to press freedom in the so-called "Neo case"(more in this blog here). The seminar was really interesting and useful, learned some new things there related to journalist sources protection, both in juridicial and technical aspect (informatics).
In the first picture to the right there you see Lato Lapsa - one of leading Latvian investigative journalists, author of several brave books about Latvian oligarchs and politicians. It's always pleasure to hear his thoughts, he always says what he wants and speaks meaningfully.
On the second picture you see Neo itself - or, in real name - Ilmārs Poikāns. As a computer specialist he told about some technical things of how to take care of your information's security (encryption programs, etc.)
