Galerija Azur

Galerija Azur - shopping centre in my neighbourhood in southern Riga with nice architectural design - is currently a big commercial failure. Literally 2/3 of the shops are closed and more than half of the centre is dead and silent now. Weird feeling when walking there - posh but abandoned,empty space. The crysis is one to blame, but the other - the location. Currently it is just business-killing because the roadworks at Southern highway has made the place hardly accesible (one has to drive several kilometres with special purpose to attend the centre when coming from Southern bridge side). The shop owners has to endure and wait for construction finish, then the place could become more popular.
