Quite a scenic natural area around quite a brutal looking commieblock highrises of Mežciems (Forest Village) district. Between the buildings you see a bunch of cables - they're communication cables, I guess, mostly cable TV and internet. Developed broadband internet network is a good side of dense urban built-up. By speedtest.net data, Latvia has second fastest internet in the world (behind only South Korean and equal with Lithuania). Also fiber optic network is one of the most developed (although there our southern neighbours Lithuanians are quite ahead of us, leading the Europe).
