Riga Cathedral
Riga Cathedral (Dom church) is one of the oldest buildings in Riga. It's construction was started in 1211, and basically it has been in building process until the start of 20th Century. The cathedral was supplemented with some new elements time by time and in the result of that it's a real "cocktail" of architecture styles. Oldest parts of the church is built in Romanesque style, later it was continued to built in Gothic, in the 18th Century there were added elements in Baroque, and even Riga's Art Nouveau mania didn't passed this church - stairs in Western antechamber was built in this style, in 1906. Riga's Dom church should be a great adventure for every architecture expert.
