Unrequited Lover

Knight Roland (the statue in left) has fallen in love with the Greek goddess Themis who are standing on the roof of Riga city council building. She is blind and don't see him but Roland can't get up there, at her. They will never be together. He will always be down here, hopelessly looking and dreaming about her...

Of course, that's not official legend, I just made it up for this picture. Btw, here Themis seems to have another adorer, who, in opposite to Roland, is able to approach her. I don't know how that love story ended though... :)
