Where the weather news comes from...
In this building in "Moscow distric" there is located Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology centre - an institution which care for weather forecasts of Latvia and also many other environment-related things. I was absolutely convinced that this building is built in Soviet times - but as I found in Google in one source, it's built in 1994 - so, it's already from Independence time. Seems like a very outdated building for 90ies, looks exactly like some examples of 70ies Brutalism architecture.

Varbūt 1994. tā ēka tikai tika pabeigta?
ReplyDeleteBoth buildings are elegant in their design and probably functional in their use. Nice photos. I also like your template.
ReplyDelete@Honest Abe Lincoln - Thanks! Btw, this is one and the same building in both photos - front side in first, back side in second.
