International Women's Day
Today is International Women's Day (and it's 100th anniversary) and in Latvia it is a rather large celebrations (previously it even used to be holiday). The tradition (still alive from Soviet times) that in this day mens presents flowers to womens. Thus today many Riga womens, from young girls to old ladies, walked around with a flowers in their hands while florists rejoiced about maybe half-year profit. The most popular flower was yellow tulips, also red tulips were many.
