Filming of "Sapņu komanda 1935" ("Dream Team 1935")
Yesterday happened to be in the right place at the right time - when next Latvian "blockbuster" was filmed in Bastejkalns park. Film "Dream Team 1935" will be about first European champions in basketball which were Latvians (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EuroBasket_1935). These guys (apparently actors who play "Dream Team" basketball players) were running over the canal bridge some 4 or 5 times until the scene were shot.
People, of course, were stopped to come to the bridge but in one moment, fast moving trishaw rapidly broke into the scene... Filming assistant screamed "Stop! Stop!" and trishaw, of course, didn't understood why. Finally assistant realized that it would took a lot more time for trishaw to turn round than cross a bridge and said: "Ok, drive over, but fast!" :)
