Costa Pacifica

Costa Pacifica is largest cruise ship ever been to Riga - it arrived this morning and right now while I'm writing this post it is leaving the city. Sea traffic to Riga isn't very developed (if we compare to, for example, Tallinn which has some 7 million passengers in year), that's why such a cruise ship is quite a wonder for us and quite many people came to Vanšu bridge to take photos.

It is interesting - when I posted Tallink ship last April, Iceland's Eijafjalla...blablabla volcano were erupting. Now it's Grimsvotn's turn - and again I have to post ship's picture. Like a sign - it's time to change from airplanes to ships again. Riga airport has cancelled several flights today - mainly to Germany.



Tallink's ship also stayed, a bit farther. Here you see both of them together. Tallink looks like a small boat in comparison.



Basketball court on top of the ship. There are also SPA complex, swimming pools, jacuzzies, restaurants, bars and other entertainments on board.
