Lunapark
Lunapark in Esplanāde park has made a lot of controversy in last weeks here. This is first time when such lunapark is set up right in the middle in Riga centre - previously they were installed on outer districts besides some shopping malls. Some politicians and people say it's unacceptable to have such lunapark in one of centre's square, btw, right next to Orthodox church. Is it only our provincialism or rather otherwise - provincialism is to have such lunapark? What would you think when something similar would be set on square at Notre Dame in Paris or Berlin Cathedral?

As I see it, it's on a open square, so why not?? If complains should come, it must be from the people who lives in the buildings near :)
