Today is Independence Restoration Day in Latvia, thus a holiday. Weather is not so good to properly enjoy it though. But in today's picture - a monument which was given to Riga from Netherland as a present in last year's 20th anniversary of Restoration of Latvia's Independence. Smart one, and symbolic for Netherlands as well.

    I remember last year, we had quite a bit on TV, about the history of your country!

    Congratulations Latvia!!
    In Denmark we celebrate our freedom after 5 years with the germains (Hitler) as "the boss". You can see our flag all over the country, and later today candlelights shine in many windows :-D
