"On the island"
Latvia's Television cafe has name "On the island" ("Uz salas") - that's because the building itself is on island - Zaķusala, in the middle of Daugava river. Building was completed in the middle of 80ies, cafe seems to haven't changed since then (and I hope it won't change) thus it reflects that time Soviet style. Poshest end of Soviet style, I presume - after all, it was (is) television cafe!

So charming! Is it a public place, is it possible to reach this cafe and sit down even if you dont have anything to do with TV? :)
