Out-of-Riga Sunday: Rundāle palace
Rundāle palace is one of the most popular places in Latvia - in the survey of 75 tourism experts, it was recognized as the best tourism object here, even ahead of Riga's Old Town. This Baroque and Rococo style palace was built in 1768 (architect is famous Bartolomeo Rastrelli who has designed also Winter Palace in St Petersburg, Peterhof palace, etc.) and it is located in central-southern Latvia, 11 km from Bauska town. Palace and it's garden has been gradually restored through years and now looks really splendid.
