Love island

Mīlestības saliņa ("Love Island") is one of far-away corners of Riga. This small (0,75 sq km) triangular shaped island is located between Bolderāja and Daugavgrīva districts, about 15 km to north from Riga centre. It started to shape in 2nd half of 19th Century because of construction of Daugava riverbed regulating dams.
