Chameleon building
Former Riga Stock Exchange building has been reconstructed and turned into Foreign Art museum - it is called now Art Museum "Riga Bourse". This building was built in 1855 for the needs of Riga Bourse Committee. It is built in Venetian Renaissance style palacco, posh exterior (and even posher interior) symbolizing wealth. Back then bourses weren't such a destructive formations as financial market is now - they invested in real economy, supported infrastructure (telegraph, ports, railway) and industry development.
Now, let's make a mini-poll - which buildings colour of these you like the most?

ReplyDeletered version is more "artistic" - or maybe it's just the contrast with the sky which makes it look better, to me. Because, also, red colour could be potically interpreted so it's risky...
