"Daugava" stadium
Riga doesn't have large modern stadiums. "Daugava" stadium is second largest but it is miserably small in terms of real stadiums - only around 5000 seats. "Daugava" stadium was opened in 1958, and until 1990 it had a capacity of 10 000 but then second tribune was demolished. "Daugava" stadium is located on south-eastern corner of Riga centre, between railway ring and Grīziņkalns district.
