In Scandinavia, this could be a typical scenery - a house built on rocky ground, but not in Latvia. That's why this simple but lovely house in Vecmīlgrāvis is very special in Riga - I don't know any other such (apparently artificial) rock foundation in the city. That makes this house somehow cosy. Although it's not the best place to live - on the corner of streets crossing - but at least this house is much better protected from some car driving into it in the case of traffic accident.
