Tuesdays are days when Cabinet of Ministers holds their weekly meetings and decide to move forward new laws to parliament voting or not. Government building is a huge example of 30ies Monumentalism architecture, built in authoritarian president Kārlis Ulmanis time (1936-1938). However, it's opposite wing facade (the one which goes alongside Tērbatas street) was built only in 50ies.
