I had a feeling this wooden house in Dzirciems district should have been great manor house someday, and it turns out it really was. Built around 1850, it belonged to merchant Eberhart fon Bulmering. It's interesting that before WW2, in 1939, when Riga city bought this property, there was a tourist hotel established. Nowadays the building looks sad, decaying more and more. Why not someone couldn't made a similar business today? The area is wonderful - green, silent, calm - just also a bit neglected. [full_width]
