Views from Skanste area

Riga centre on it's northern part borders with still largely wild area, called Skanste (historically there was a city's pasture) - something hard to imagine in any other European capital city. However, this unique feature will be lost sooner or later - Skanste gets slowly but surely built up, and also the meadow you see in these photos, which opens up a scenery to Riga centre, is planned to built up with Aizkraukle bank offices complex. In the photos, you see 2 hotels (Radisson Blu and Alberta hotel) on the left side, as well as Riga TV tower sneaking above the roofs from more than 4 km distance.
