Last Sunday I was in Milan for the first time. To be honest, I didn't liked this city. However, there were some places which were great, and the best of them - Vittorio Emanuele shopping arcade which was the most impressive of this kind of arcades I have seen.

Amazing detail in your wonderful photograph.
ReplyDeletevery impressive building!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI'm from Milan and was a bit surprised at your choice of the adjective "poor". Where were you staying? What gave you the impression of a poor place?
Forthe rest, unfortunately I have to agree with you: even though there are some gems, the city is less than impressive; and pretty dirty and ugly, not to mention full of cars parked just about everywhere, to the point that it looks more like an open-air parking lot than a city :-//
Hi, Massimo!
ReplyDeleteThe "poor" of course is relative word in this case - of course, Milan isn't looking "poorer" than Riga, rather otherwise. Still, I expected much more from the capital of Italy's richest region Lombardia. It seemed poor mostly because of building's facades - many not renovated, dilapidated.
