Waiting at red light
Bicycle transportation popularity continue to increase in Riga, and while it's still far from Amsterdam or Copenhagen, Riga city planners cannot ignore cyclists anymore. Much hype this summer was created by bicycle lanes on some centre streets - probably not always it was well-thought solution. But here you see 2 magistral bicycle roads - on Valdemāra street (upper photo) and on Brīvības street (lower photo) - which are quite OK cycling infrastructure examples (the best option, to my mind, is when bicycle road which is physically separated from both street and pavement).
