St. Gertrude New Church | Brīvības iela 119 - Rīgas Jaunā Svētās Ģertrūdes baznīca
New Ģertrūdes church is one of the most iconic buildings on the centre periphery. The assymertical building was built in 1906 after the Old Gertrude church became too small for growing population in this area. The church is considered to be one of the last Ecclecticism style buildings in Riga, combining Neo-Romanesque, Neo-Gothic styles with some Art Nouveau elements. The church is located in a very interesting place - like on island between two rivers (Brīvības and Cēsu streets). It's tower is 69 metres high.
