Šķērsiela

Šķērsiela. Šķērsiela is seemingly unnoticeable street in rather distant private and low-floor apartment housing area of Riga (Lāčupe). However this street has became famous after film director Ivars Seleckis made 3 documental movies about the life on this street - with a timespan of 20 years (each movie set apart by a decade - the 80ies, 90ies and 2000ies). Now the street is asphalted and has became probably the most traffic-poled streets in Riga - a real obstacle course for cars but much safer for walkers. I wonder - would these developments touch this faraway street if Seleckis hadn't shot his once popular movies?
