Song and Dance festival stage.
Song and Dance festival is very big event in Latvia, which happen once in a 5 years - and exactly now it's on-going for a week until next Sunday with the Final concert. It's like an olympic games for traditional singing and dancing, with chorus, ensembles and dance troups participating from all across Latvia. The event started back in 1873 when even Latvia itself wasn't formed as a country - and it was one of factors which united and cemented Latvian national self-awareness and a aspirations of our own country. Here is the view from newly built Stage of the Song Festival in Riga, Mežaparks. Viewpoint on stage from thousands of chorus singers who sing to tens of thousands of attendees which gathers on those green souares visitors area in distance.
